•Blue Beetle (Aug 18)

Based on the DC Comics of the same name, Blue Beetle is about a Mexican-American teen who stumbles upon an alien beetle that inadvertently gives him superpower armor.

•Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (Jun 30)

What it's about: Get ready to "release the Kraken" in this new animated movie from DreamWorks. Lana Condor voices the title character, a shy teen who really wants to fit in with her peers. However, that soon proves to be futile when she learns she is a descendant of the warrior Kraken queens and is in line to inherit the throne.

•The Little Mermaid (May 26)

This long-awaited live-action version of the 1989 Walt Disney animated classic follows a mermaid named Ariel (Halle Bailey) who strikes up a deal with Ursula the sea witch (Melissa McCarthy) to trade her beautiful voice for legs so she can explore life above sea level

•Knights of the Zodiac (May 12)

Based on the manga, Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada, this action-adventure film follows the exploits of a goddess of war who is reincarnated in the body of a young girl. Orphan Seiya (Mackenyu) learns it's his destiny to protect the girl and save the world, NBD. However, to do so he'll have to face his past, which is never easy. The movie also stars On My Block's Diego Tinoco.

•Barbie (July 21)

Greta Gerwig directed and co-wrote this live-action adaptation of the iconic Mattel doll. The plot is currently under wraps, but the internet freaked out when first-look pics of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, respectively, dropped.

•Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (Jun 30)

Our favorite archaeologist is at it again with a new adventure in the fifth installment of this franchise. Details about the plot are under wraps for now.

•Crater (May 12)

A kid and his best friends go on an adventure to explore a legendary crater before he is forced to relocate to another planet. The movie stars A Friend of the Family star Mckenna Grace.

Producer Shawn Levy said on Instagram that Crater began from an idea: "Stand By Me on the moon." (FYI, Stand By Me is an epic '80s movie you need to watch ASAP if you haven't already.)

•Peter Pan & Wendy (Apr 28)

This live-action reimagining of J.M. Barrie's beloved novel, Peter Pan, follows the adventures of a boy who refuses to grow up and the new friends he brings with him to his magical home called Neverland.

•The Magic Flute (Mar 10)

A 17-year-old attends the prestigious Mozart boarding school with aspirations of becoming a singer and quickly discovers a secret passageway to a mystical world of Mozart's "The Magic Flute."

Fans of fantasy stories will love this new movie starring Shadow and Bone's Jack Wolfe.

•The Moon (Sep 22)

The Moon (Korean: 더 문; RR: Deo Mun) is a 2023 South Korean space survival drama film written, co-produced and directed by Kim Yong-hwa, starring Sol Kyung-gu, Do Kyung-soo and Kim Hee-ae. 

The film follows the dramatic story of South Korea's first crewed lunar exploration mission and isolation in space.

 

It was released theatrically on September 22, 2023.
